The Hyderabad Hunters emerged as one of the strong contenders for the Premier Badminton League in the second season, with a superlative show at the pre-season auction. The team outbid its rivals with an auction-topping price for Spanish sensation Carolina Marin. The Olympic Gold Medalist from the 2016 Rio Olympics will have Englishman Rajiv Ouseph as well as doubles specialists Wee Kiong Tan & Boon Heing Tan for company.

The team retained Satwik Sairaj & J Meghana from the previous season and made some more additions such as Sameer Verma, Krishna Priya, Sai Praneeth & Chau Hoi Wah.
